CNC WAVE SCREENS

ORIGIN
Inspired by the perfection of drawing lines and curves on Rhino. First imagined as a potential doormat, this design was cut out in a few different sizes to experiment with scaling the pattern. This design was selected to show in the Fall 2019 Furniture Design Trienniel at RISD.
PRODUCTION
- Made entirely with programming and machining with a CNC
- The machining paths were drawn on Rhino and programmed with Mastercam
- To achieve the two-sided pattern, the plywood stock was first cut on one side and then flipped to cut the second side.
MATERIALS
Birch plywood
DIMENSIONS
5’L X 3’W X 0.75”D
